The event was consisting mostly of discourses and some small acts including the Municipal Choir and Musicians. The facilitator of the event, Anna Stayrakaki, asked me to design and make a jewel-memento of the event, in order to give it to everyone that helped to organize and fulfill the event.
This meant that this memento, would be the same for women, men and children. After consideration, proposals and discussion, we decided for it to be a pendant. In this way, men and boys could use it as a decorative object, for example in their key holder.
I proposed two designs (in the photograph above) that symbolize in an abstract way the breast; they end up to a little pearl, like a drop of milk which is the drop of life. The colour of copper was chosen, because of the similarity with the colour of the skin. Both designs were welcomed with enthusiasm and finally it was decided for both to be done.
The event was successfully completed and the mementos made everyone happy!
